The Day the Earth Stood Still -- the trailer!

A few months ago, I got to visit the set of the remake of The Day the Earth Stood Still, which was being shot here in the Vancouver area. Not for the first time, I marvelled at how it took hours and hours to produce maybe a few seconds of actual movie. A few of those seconds -- showing military vehicles moving into position, in what I think is supposed to be Central Park -- appear in the trailer below, which is reportedly playing before Hancock in some theatres right now, at least on the American side of the border:

JUL 4 UPDATE: The trailer has now been officially posted here.

Because of a copyright claim by 20th century Fox, the trailer has been pulled from UTube. I did find it at http://www.getthebigpicture.net/blog/2008/7/3/trailer-the-day-the-earth-stood-still.html

Thanks! I've been reluctant to keep track of all the other sites that might be posting this trailer, since I expect 20th Century Fox will go after most or all of them, too, doing that endless game of whack-a-mole that studios tend to play with the blogosphere whenever a new trailer comes out. But I'll gladly take whatever other links people feel like posting here! And if any of those other copies of the trailer turn out to have some staying power, I might update the post above.
